My Life Is Complete

On Tuesday night, January 13, 2015 at 11:44 p.m., my beautiful baby boy was born. He weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is absolutely perfect, and well worth the 41 hours of grueling labor that got him here. I will soon be posting his birth story, but for now, I'm going to admire this beautiful human being.

Welcome to the world, Hunter, I love you more than you know.

What's In My Hospital Bag

I'm finally getting around to sharing with you what I'll be packing in my hospital bag with me. I plan on utilizing a lot of things the hospital will provide for me there, so in reality, I've probably over packed. I'm one of those "just in case" people, though. Being a first time mother, it's hard to know what to expect to use and not use, but here are the things I found necessary to pack with me!

Clothing //

  • 2 pairs of comfy pajama bottoms - I doubt I will want to be in a gown my whole stay there, so I thought these were essential to have.
  • 2 big t-shirts - I don't have a button down top for breastfeeding ease, but I figure I can work it out when the time comes. Even if that means wearing my comfy pajama bottoms under a gown!
  • Jacket - Even though my entire pregnancy I've been constantly over heated, hospitals can be cold!
  • Fuzzy socks - I don't think I need to justify why I'm bringing these. I just love them so much.
  • Regular socks - Just in case!
  • Slippers - For walking around the hospital in if I need to.
  • Underwear - And quite a few pairs of it. I brought ones I don't really care to lose because I've read the horror stories, so I'm just being prepared for that.

Toiletries //
  • Mary Kay face moisturizer
  • Simple makeup removing wipes
  • EOS lip balm
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Lotion
  • Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Body Wash
  • Mary Kay liquid foundation
  • Pressed powder foundation
  • Concealer
  • Eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Dry shampoo (not pictured)

(Those last items are in case I feel like doing my makeup before company comes or for pictures.)

Extras //
  • Laptop and charger
  • Phone and charger
  • Camera and charger
  • Purse and wallet
  • Brush
  • Glasses
  • Blanket
  • Boppy Pillow
All these are on a list that is sitting on top of my bag for me to pack right before I leave for the hospital. I think I have everything I need! Can you think of anything else I should pack?
