It's The Final Countdown

I have come to terms that I'm a horrible blogger. Absolute horrific. On the bright side, it's not that I don't think about blogging. I actually wrote my final essay for my English course on blogging this semester. It was great.
This week is finals week for school. To be completely honest, I did not do well this semester. At all. I am not looking forward to see where I end up.
I'm just glad it's all over and done with. I can't wait for next semester to start over and redeem myself from the horrors of this one.
(I'm going to interrupt this right now and just say that I'm in the computer lab at my school right now, and I'm rather annoyed at the two grown women playing hang man behind me. PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. Har har har. Not.)

Sleeping With Sirens

My husband is a terrible sleeper. Starting off, his snoring is uniquely awful. It’s the cross between heavy breathing, and a gurgling within his throat/nostrils. He has a deviated septum, and it’s killing me. I have to constantly tell him to roll over on his side, away from me. And, not to mention a fan going full blast to block out some of the noise. Now, I’m a light sleeper. A very light sleeper. Additionally Tom talks in his sleep. Sometimes in gibberish. It startles me awake, and I just have to coax him to just lay back down and go the eff to sleep!

Like, last night. He starts off with some gibberish. It can be entertaining at times, so I asked him, “What?”
“Caldwell’s bringing it back.”
“Who’s Caldwell?”
“The dog.”

We don’t have a dog named Caldwell…

“Uh, what is he bringing back?”
“My rifle, from the mountain.”
“The dog is bringing you back your rifle?” Seems accurate.
“Yeah, from the house.” I thought from the mountain?
“We’re in the house…”
“I don’t know.”
“No. WE ARE in the house, not where.”

Confused look, and back to sleep.

 Sometimes, it’s worse.

For example, the other night he jumped out of bed hunched over and ran into the bathroom. First thought that comes to mind? He’s going to blow chunks all over my bathroom. Nope. He runs to the sink, and frantically runs his hands through his hair brushing whatever it was into the sink…

“WHERE DID YOU PUT THEM!?”
“Uhhh… What?”
“The spiders. Where did you put the spiders?!” Huge question marks are circling over my head.
“What… Spiders…?”
“The ones from the antlers!” Huh?
(9 times out of 10 all of his dreams are about hunting/guns.)
“There are no spiders. Come back to bed.”
“There aren’t?”
“No.”
He shuffles back to bed and lays down. I’m just laying here like WTF just happened.
“What did you have a dream about?”
“I was cleaning antlers off and spiders started running all over me.”
Cue snoring. End scene.

(HA HA, now do you see what I did there for the title? Clever I am.)

It's Never Too Late To Change Your Life

Picture from Pinterest
This will be my second post in one day. Sue me.
I've made a big decision tonight to face my biggest demon. My weight. I have been looking back at pictures and thinking to myself, "I've never been as big as I am now." Which makes me think I'm not only bigger, but uglier. My self-esteem has hit an all time low. And, that's nothing but my own fault. I've accepted that, and I think that's always been a hurdle. I blamed genetics, and stress, my overloaded schedule, and my asthma. Which frankly, are all good excuses. But, when it comes to being healthy no excuse is good enough.
I've needed a push. At first it was my wedding. That day is gone and over with. And, I can't help but feel bittersweet looking at the pictures. That was supposed to be my day to shine, my day to be the most beautiful one there. And, I blew it because I couldn't stick to the routine I had set for myself at the beginning of the year. I am done with crying over it, because it's something I can't change. I can't change my past, but I can change my future. So, I'll be kissing the Halloween candy goodbye and saying hello to a whole new lifestyle.
My motivations are pretty big ones for me. Tom and I chose to save our honeymoon for the summer so that we could go to the beach. Our plan is to go to the Oregon Coast. Nothing too extravagant, but it's going to be fun. I would love to be fit and feel good on my honeymoon, to make up for the lack of good I felt looking at my wedding photos.
So number one, look great for my honeymoon, and while we're there possibly hire a photographer and get pictures taken on the beach!
Number two, I want to be able to do fun things. I want to be able to go on hikes with our dogs, nature walks, and mountain bike. I want to be outdoors. I want to be able to hike up a mountain and challenge myself with it, but not kill myself. (Cause it would definitely kill me at the place I'm at now.) I want to enjoy my marriage before the mini-us(es) come along.
Which leads to number three. Tom and I have made a very important decision to wait to have kids until we are financially stable and healthy. I want to set our children up with the best genes possible. And, it's been discovered that good/bad genes will be passed down to your children just based on the choices you make in your life. I want to have a healthy pregnancy. And, Tom and I want to raise our children in a healthy and active home. That to me is a huge motivation. The longer we have good health, the better chances our children have. I want to create a chain reaction.
This blog is probably going to be absolutely filled with all my upcoming challenges, and definitely a lot of whining I'm sure. But, hopefully right around the corner from all those cringe-worthy posts, will  be ones where I see a difference and can offer help and support to those who are in my same shoes.
CHEERS TO CHANGING MY LIFE! -clink-

For The Love Of...

I'm very excited to announce that we put our dogs in boot camp! They've actually been there for a week. It's just basic obedience training (iwasgettingtiredoftheirdestructionandmisbehaving). But, we got to see how well they are doing yesterday. OH MY LANTA. Let me tell you what, they are doing awesome. Especially Sarge!
Let me explain. Our dogs are pretty good dogs. But, they don't listen well. We could call and call for Sarge and he would completely ignore us. Drake is a shorthair so naturally they are easily distracted. SQUIRREL! We were looking forward to see what a weeks worth of work would do. And, I'm pleasantly surprised.
(I was kind of skeptical at first. I looked up reviews of the trainer after dropping them off and there was nothing but good comments! Phew.)
The trainer first takes one dog out at a time and we watch from a distance so they don't know that we're there or else they would have a heart attack I'm sure. Drake smelt us from the very beginning though so his performance wasn't up to par. Although, he prances around so cutely. Like, "Hey mom, dad. Look what I've learned!" It's pretty much the most adorable thing. And, he always looks at you as if he needs some confirmation that he's doing it right.
Sarge could smell us too but he did completely amazing. It was almost as if he was a different dog. One thing I was trying to teach both of the dogs was stay. Our trainer doesn't teach the word "stay" because he believes when you tell a dog to sit he better sit until you tell him okay. Which I love. There our dogs were. Sitting. And staying there. Until he called them over.
-INSERT OOGLY EYES AND JAW DROPPING HERE-
Finally we got to go out and work with Sarge. Drake was tired and he had worked him a little more because he was distracted which made the trainer work with him a bit more, so he decided to give him a break. It was the moment of all moments. We had set Sarge off to play by patting his head and saying, "okay". He ran off to go play with the trainers dog when I said, "Sarge, come!" That dog turned on a dime, and actually came to me.
-insert even BIGGER oogly eyes and say goodbye to my jaw-
I cannot wait to go back and see how much they've improved next week. Completely worth the money and I can't wait to have the furbabies back. I've missed them. But, slightly filled the void with a new little creature we call, Cosmo.

Can we just take a moment here to admire how freaking adorable this little guy is. I never pegged myself as a reptile person. In fact, they give me the heebies. But, little Cosmo here we got in at my work a couple weeks ago. I got the courage one day to pick him up, and instantly I was in love when he fell asleep on my hand. We got him a week later, and just... just look at this little gem!

We Tied The Knot

Wow! I'm just a little behind on keeping this thing updated. I swear a day doesn't go by where I think to myself, I should probably update my blog. And, yet. It's been many days passed, and I'm finally getting around to it.
It's official, I'm a Mrs. as of October 12, 2013!
Here are some pictures from my most gorgeous wedding. I couldn't have even imagined it being better. It was too perfect. (We were worried about the weather. Idaho is unpredictable and our autumn started out rainy and cold. But, it seems like our wedding day was the start of sunshine and warmer days!)

As you can see we had a country chic themed wedding. It was wonderful. My family did such an amazing job pulling it off. I'm proud and thankful to their hard work. This is the start of something beautiful, you guys! I'm excited to see where life will take me and my hubby!

Update

I haven't posted anything in exactly a month! Which I'm kind of beating myself up over. I think it's about time to update everyone (okay, me, because I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who reads my blog.) what has happened in this month of September. First off, I got a new job! I'm happily employed at Zamzows. It's a local business here in Idaho, and I'm so blessed to be apart of it! Not only am I a full time student now, but also a full time employee! Things have definitely gotten much crazier in my life. Wedding plans are slowly coming together now. I'm so blessed to have the people that I do in my life. My bridal shower was absolutely amazing, better than I could have ever imagined. My aunts put it together, and they did such a wonderful job. My mom's entire family room is filled with gifts. I found my dress, it's absolutely beautiful, and I'm so in love with it. I cannot wait to see Tom's face when I walk down the aisle. My wedding is going to be gorgeous, and better than I could have ever dreamed of. I'm so excited! TEN DAYS. OMG.
Also within the next ten days I have a list of so much I need to do. I'm overwhelmed. I'm stressed. But, I'm so happy. I'm in love with my life.
My bachelorette party is this Saturday, which I'm very excited about. And, then, family pictures on Sunday. Then we need our house deep cleaned, my bed moved over so that Joey and Brittany have a place to sleep. Then slowly start moving my stuff over. These next ten days are going to fly by.

We Are Tying The Knot!

Yesterday, we decided to take our engagement photos. Apparently we like to do things the last minute. I'm hoping we're not the only ones.
Anyway, my mom took them and I edited them. Surprisingly, they turned out rather well! With her not having any photographer experience, and I'm not the brightest when it comes to using photoshop. But, here are some of my favorites!

Just 39 more days until I'm a Mrs. What a mind-blowing feeling.

So, here I am posting a very very late post. The 16-18 of August, was my 31st Bills Annual Family Reunion. It was fantastic I tell you! We go to McCall every year for a family reunion, and this year was by far the best. Not only is McCall absolutely beautiful, it's a really fun place to be. Trees, lakes, nature. MY KINDA THING. We went to the Pancake House and had a delicious breakfast, and then went canoeing on Saturday, Tom and I went to Ice Cream Alley afterwards, went swimming, had dinner with the family. On Sunday, we had breakfast at the condo. My aunt, grandma, and I fixed a huge breakfast for everyone. Including mini German Pancakes (I wish I would have gotten a picture!), hashbrowns, sausage, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. YUM. After breakfast Tommy, Christena (my sister), and Ross (her boyfriend), and I went and attempted fishing. Key word here: attempt. No luck what-so-ever. Tom and I enjoyed a little time in the pool afterwards and then got our stuff together and hit the road. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend, that we both needed BADLY. We took Drake and Gunner. I'm pretty sure they had the time of their lives. It was Drake's first camping trip and I couldn't be a more proud mama. He did wonderful! He also went in the canoes with us. That. Was. Scary. The entire time he just kept switching sides, and if you know anything about canoes. They are not, let me repeat that, NOT sturdy at all. But, he never made us tip. And, Tom did. So that's an accomplishment!
Human: 0; Canine; 1

The canoe trip. Oh, so fun.
Beautiful McCall

Happy camper!
Cute little deary

*Not all of my pictures are uploading right now, so I'll hopefully have a post totally
dedicated to all the pictures from the trip!

Ch-ch-chaaaanges

These last few days have been extremely stressful. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday moving Tom. I wish I would have taken some before-and-after pictures, because holy crap, we worked our butts off. I'm so relieved though that we finally did it, and he's in the house we will be living in when we get married. The other place needed a lot of cleaning done to it, and fixing, and still needs a ton of work. But, thankfully we found one of Tom's friends to take over his lease. Him and his fiancé are so excited to move in, which makes me extremely happy.
Tom, and I also celebrated our one year anniversary yesterday. It's crazy to think in just two months we will be married!
These passed few months have been really stressful, and continue to be stressful. I will probably be stressed until the wedding, and then find something else to stress about after that...
(can I say stress one more time?)
BESIDES THAT.
I've been addicted to pinterest more than usual lately, getting ideas on how to decorate the new house and what to do with it. At least most of my stress (yes I can.) and anxiety is for good things to come.

Busy Bees

So, I didn't exactly get a chance to write my first little blog post yesterday, because I got home and went straight to bed. So, here I am writing this today, in the form of yesterday. I think you get the point. Tom had to work at six, which meant waking up before the sun even thinks about rising. It took me an hour after he left to really fall back asleep, and within a couple hours the monsters wanted to be released from the dens. I complied. I felt even more tired than I did at four in the morning at what was now 8 o'clock, so I fell back asleep, and woke up a couple hours later. It was one of those times where you wake up thinking, "WHAT YEAR IS IT?!" I got up and shuffled over to the computer so that I could order my textbooks for school. (I'm a little late on doing so considering I start thee sophomore year of college in 19 days, to be exact.) After realizing I would be spending $300 on books, I got ready and headed to the bank, so I could withdraw my soul.
Seriously though, why in the hell are you charging students so much for words? As if we don't struggle enough with the financial means of education.
Anyway, I stopped at Starbucks on the way there, and treated myself to a delicious strawberries and crème and ventured into a turkey Panini. If you've never tried one, YOU MUST. It was like a baby angel had created said lunch. I could eat one everyday if my budget allowed. It was one of the tastiest things I have ever had. And, that is the truth.
After returning home from two different banks, I paid my small (HA HA) amount of money to my school for, again, WORDS ON PAPER, and decided I needed a little pick-me-up. I gathered up the little kiddos, and headed for the car. It's quite glorious to see the excitement in the wag of their tails, and their happy little faces when they get in the car. Like, "OH WE GET TO LEAVE!? Will there be treats there? Can I play ball? DO I GET TO SNIFF BUTTS!?" Why yes, all of those things. It's kind of crazy that dogs know where they are when it's a familiar place, I swear their manners go up and out the window on the street before the dog park. I have them in my lap, and half way out the window by the time I get parked.

We didn't spend too much time there today, after playing with this golden Shepherd, they had pretty much had it. It was hot, and not too pleasant out. I kept looking for my pups only to find out they were laying under the table panting with their tongues two feet long, practically dragging on the ground. We left, and headed back home, waiting for dad to get back.
Promptly, at around three, Tom showed up and we decided to take the dogs swimming. We loaded up and headed to Lucky Peak. I had never been to the area we were in before, and it was a perfect little spot. Normally, the furbabies don't go out swimming by themselves, but this time I had a bomb proof plan. Drake will do ANYTHING to fetch, seriously, as a German Shorthair it's hard-wired into their brains to go for hours. With that said, we threw a toy in the water, and BAM! Our previously water shy pup was splashing away! (I'm not kidding though, I've never seen such a goofy swimmer before in my life. It's awkward, and messy, and completely adorable.)
After I had put my phone away, Sarge started getting in and swimming. Of course, that is what happens when my phone is all the way back on the grassy null under a towel. We were in awe at how good of a swimmer he is. Not messy, or splashy at all. He practically glides. It was a super fun time down there.
We left soon after. The water was cold and our skinny little Drake was shivering away. On our way back we stopped at the Crow's Inn, and ate a bucket of clams. It was very delicious, and the dogs were allowed on the patio, which I shared my fries with.

There is my handsome, who is grumpy with a tooth ache
and annoyed by the dozens of bees.
Once we returned home, we put the boys away and headed to a small pond to go fishing. I caught three blue gill and I'm sick of those things. That's all I've been catching this summer, and they're useless.
