HUNTER TURNS FOUR

My baby turned four on January 13 and I can't believe the time that has gone by. I'm in awe at the person you are. You surprise me everyday and make us laugh all the time. Your heart is one of a kind and made of gold. I am so lucky to be able to call you my son. You have taught me patience, understanding, and unconditional love. Because of you, I'm a better person. I love the way you look at life and the way you can turn anything into something creative. Your imagination is such a beautiful thing to see.

I love the way you love. You still are the same cuddly kid you've always been and 100% a mommy's boy. You give the best of hugs. Honestly, I've never had better. They honestly make me melt. You've grown up so much this past year. When you put your mind to something, you do it. It literally took you one day to be potty trained, we were beyond proud. Your smile, and one little dimple, lights up an entire room. The sense of humor you have is unbeatable. You make everyone laugh with your little comments. And, you take sassy to a whole new level and give us a run for our money. But, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I never thought I would look forward to things like learning more about super heroes (you are beyond obsessed with the Avengers right now) and dinosaurs. Nerf wars are a constant thing in this household and I can't even count how many times I've stepped on a LEGO. Watching you play is one of my favorite things. I love hearing you talk between your toys. One of the best things I've gotten to watch this year is you blossoming into the most incredible big brother. You made it seem so effortless. I am so excited to see the bond and friendship you two will create. I can feel the love you have between each other and I hope you two will always have that and look out for each other.

The last four years with you have been amazing. I think you teach me more than I could ever teach you. The love I have for you is unexplainable. You will always be my baby, Hunter. I can't wait to watch you grow up. It's so bittersweet that soon I'll be sending you off to school and keeping every single page of homework and artwork you send home. You can count on it. I am so excited to see the type of friend you'll be, they'll be lucky to have you. You are unbelievably smart and have an incredible mind. Thank you for being you. I love you so much. Thanks for the best four years of my life, and cheers to many, many more little bugger.
