Maybelline Falsies Mascara Review

I've always been pretty biased when it comes to mascara. I'm one of those people who finds a product they like, and refuse to try anything else. I'm trying to change my ways! When it comes to mascara I've tried many things but always fall back on Covergirl Lash Blast. While at the store the other day, they were out of it, so I was forced to pick something else.

I've heard great things about Maybelline's Falsies mascara so thought I would give it a shot!

Upon first look I liked the brush. There are many bristles, and they are all quite soft and long. It's easy to apply to the top and bottom lashes. Although, it's a great mascara, I'm not totally sold. I expected more volume. I aim for long full lashes. It is a great waterproof mascara though, my makeup remover even had a hard time getting it off. So definitely a great option for going to the beach if you wanted to apply a little mascara before going! I'm not disappointed in this product but I still love my Lash Blast!

Ipsy Bag Review: April '14

One of my favorite days of the month! I get so happy to see my pink shiny package in the mail. This months Ipsy bag has been my absolute favorite. The theme this month is "Beauty Rocks". If you missed my other bags you can find February here and March here. I have the original price of these products in parenthesis after the name. For $10 a month it's a bargain.

Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Apple Pink ($19); This color is so smooth. It took me a minute to figure out that there was a brush in the cap. It makes it a lot easier than sticking my finger in there! The color is a pinky-coral color. It's a very pretty color and would look good on anyone.

St. Tropez Multi-Action Moisturizer ($35); This is the ultimate moisturizer. If it wasn't so expensive, this would be my go-to moisturizer. The one thing I don't like is the smell. It smells almost like medicine? I don't know, but can't complain because it's an expensive high quality product!

Cover FX Primer ($16); I was worried about this product at first because it looks like it would feel thick and oily on the skin, but it absorbs quickly and feels like nothing is there! Plus, a little goes a long ways for the most part.

Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow ($8); This color is in champagne, which does an accurate job of describing the color of the shadow. This stuff is really amazing. The pigment is incredible, and really is a beautiful color. This is something I can really see myself investing in.

Urban Decay Black Velvet Liner ($10); This liner is so sultry and nice. I absolutely love it. The color is a really nice black, and seriously does kind of remind me of velvet. It's perfect for a smoky eye or bolder look. And, it really is a great price at normal retail.

I saved $88 because of Ipsy! What are your favorite beauty box subscriptions.

Vera Wang Be Jeweled Rogue Review

Today, I was a bargain shopper. I went to Kohl's, with $30 Kohl's cash in my pocket and didn't expect to come out with anything. I was just browsing today, and I really don't even like the Kohl's I went to so with that in mind, I really thought I would come out empty handed. I am one of those people that chokes out in an entire section of the store spraying perfume. Sorry. I sprayed this stuff, smelled it, and then sprayed it all over me. It smells amazing! Lucky enough for me, there was a $10 off coupon sitting next to it. I get up to the register, and I kid you not, I paid $5 for a $45 bottle of perfume. I'm ecstatic. Up at the counter I saw a little display of Essie polish and had to get one. I've had my eye on the very popular mint candy apple, but they didn't have it so instead I got the enuf-is-enuf. I'm excited to try it out! Apparently I was feeling the pinky colors today.

Now, I'm just rambling but I had to share with you guys how I saved $40, I'm just so proud of myself.

The Vera Wang is a floral/fruit/musk smell all in one. It's very feminine. I honestly would have paid full price for this product. Also, one spray goes a long ways to be honest. I sprayed it on my wrist and rubbed them together and then also dragged my wrist behind my ears and that was it. It's been a couple hours, and it still smells just as good.

The fragrance notes listed are; Pomegranate, red currant, champagne, passion fruit, florals, musk infused woods and pink sugar crystals.

It really explains why I love this scent so much, I love anything pomegranate. I also think the packaging and the bottle itself are very attractive and girly. It gets my overall stamp of approval. I would highly recommend this perfume to anyone, especially right now! It's a perfect spring wear!

Ipsy Bag Review: March '14

My March Ipsy Bag came in the mail and I'm pretty excited to do another review. These are some of my favorite things to write! If you missed out on February's review you can see it here. I'm going to start putting the price of the product after the name so you can see how big of savings you get by getting the bag for only $10 a month.
The theme this month was Destination Beauty. I'm not a big fan of the print on the bag, but what can ya do!?

Pixie Flawless Beauty Primer ($9); This comes in a .4 oz bottle, but let me tell you what, this product goes a longggg way. It's not thick at all and it's very light. I've just been using it on my eyelids. I've noticed that my makeup stays on longer. I'm considering doing my whole face, since it also seems pretty moisturizing.

Nyx Love in Rio Eyeshadow Palette ($6); I love the look of the palette. It has a little bow on the front where you open it. I really love the neutral colors too, because that's what I always wear. I haven't noticed any amazing pigmentation but it's fairly good. The combinations create a great smoky eye.

Chella Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue ($24); I really wish this color was in black or brown, because this is probably one of the best eyeliner pens I have come across. It has great color, it goes on smooth, and it's so easy to use. I just don't use blue eyeliner so that bummed me out quite a bit.

Marvelous Moxie Lipstick (travel size) in Get Ready ($7); The color of this lipstick is really amazing. I love love love the color. It's fairly moisturizing and doesn't feel sticky on your lips, only things I don't like is it's not as long lasting as it could be and you don't want to wear it if you have any evidence of chapped lips because it will show.

Galaxy 3 Tablet Review + Sunday Rambles

*This is not a sponsored post, all reviews and comments made about the Samsung Galaxy 3 Tablet are completely my own opinion.

That beautiful thing right there is my new toy! I gave my iPad to my mom when she first went into the hospital for her first four weeks of chemo, and I wanted her to have it since she got more use out of it than I did. Mike gave us some free gift cards to Best Buy that totaled up to be around $230 and I decided upon getting this. What's better than getting things for free? Oh, yeah. That would be nothing. And, I'm so glad I did get this. I've been playing on it for the majority of the evening (I just got it today). It's purse size, so not your normal tablet. It's about 7 inches and comes with the Android (Jelly Bean, if that has any meaning to you at all.). I've missed Android ever since switching over to my iPhone, and my contract is about up with Verizon so I'm thinking when I switch providers I will get another Android phone. (Any suggestions?)

So, even though I haven't had it for an outstanding amount of time, I thought I would do a quick review on my first impression of this little thing.
Pros: I love the size. I love that I can shove it in my purse and take it with me somewhere. I love the Android system. I love the white. It's classic. I love the ease of use, it's extremely easy to get the hang of. So far, I haven't had any slow reaction. Cross my fingers. Knock on wood.
Cons: I have just one so far, and that's the battery life. It was at 50% when we first got it, and I haven't even put it on a charger yet to see if this is actually true. But, it seemed to have lost battery life pretty quickly. We shall see!

Overall, I'm really excited. I can take it to work with me and watch Netflix or be on Pinterest or something. It's gonna be fun!

AND! Happy Sunday my friends. I am very displeased that I had to work today, like I do every Sunday. It was 70 degrees out! It was so lovely, and I made Tom fertilize our front yard so we could have a pretty green lawn soon. Sadly, it's going to be a bipolar week. Welcome to Idaho. 70 on Sunday and 40 on Tuesday. Why are the days always crappy on my weekend? (I have Wednesday and Thursdays off.) Spring fever is hitting pretty hard lately, and I'm excited to finally get to sod our backyard soon, hopefully it's not a waste of money and our dogs don't kill it within a month like they did when we first moved in. Here's to hoping.

Has your spring fever hit yet?
